The hype around iPad 3, which is expected to debut on March 7, refuses to die – the latest buzz is that it’s going to release in Germany on March 23.

On Tuesday, a German website – iFun.de - claimed to have received information from a so-called “to be taken seriously” source that iPad 3 will debut in Germany on March 23. There are no information about how the source came to know the release date or how the site came to know the source.

This claim also supports the claim of a Chinese website – Apple.pro – that reported that iPad 3 will have full-HD 1080p video recording capability. The camera module will be same as in Apple iPhone 4S.

However, they strongly dispute the April release of iPad in Germany as claimed by Apple.pro.

Based on Apple’s previous marketing behavior, the claim made by the German website seems to be more solid than Chinese sources. However, it is not guaranteed that the date will be same.

While the release date is in conflict between these two Web sites, other specs are also in a dispute.

While most sites believe that a dual-core A5X processor will power the upcoming version of iPad, some sites believe iPad 3 will feature a quad-core processor.

However, almost all sites have concurred that iPad 3 will boast of a high resolution Retina display. The display resolution will be 2048x1536 pixels, doubling the iPad 2’s resolution of 1024x768 pixels. But the screen size will remain the same as iPad 2 - 9.7-inch.

Currently, all eyes are focused on Apple’s “media event” in San Francisco on March 7. The device is expected to hit U.S. stores on March 16 and the tablet could be released in the international markets in the last week of March or beginning of April.
