iPad, iPhone and iPod gets video out support for SlingPlayer Mobile App
The users who use SlingPlayer Mobile app in iPod, iPhone or iPad can now view the update with support for video over component cables in high quality mode.
The new version 2.1 for iPhone 4 adds component cable video out support on iPhone 4 devices when streaming in HQ mode and version 1.1 in iPad assures the same support. The update also has several bugs fixes as well.
Those who are using Dish Network 922 Receiver or Dish Network Sling Adapter should download Dish Remote Access from the App Store for free as SingPlayer Mobile is not supported with those devices.
In order to stream in HQ mode outside home for iPhone 4 one needs at least 800 kbps of bandwidth from your Slingbox to your iPhone when using a Wi-Fi connection, and at least 500 kbps with a 3G connection. And for the iPad one needs at least 1200 kbps of bandwidth from your Slingbox to your iPad when using a Wi-Fi connection, and at least 800 kbps with a 3G connection.
