iPhone 11 Design: Super-Sized Smartphone May Be Called iPhone 11 Pro
Apple could be launching its next flagship smartphone, unofficially dubbed as the iPhone 11, next month.
Aside from its carrier model, some analysts also expect that we’ll be seeing the next version of the relatively cheaper iPhone XR and a much larger version of iPhone 11 that’s currently being referred to as the iPhone 11 Max. However, new information reveals that the larger smartphone could be ditching the “Max” which was first used last year in the iPhone XS Max.
According to Tech Radar, the info came from a tweet via user CoinX who was actually the one who predicted the use of “Max” in the 2018 iPhone line-up so there might be something in the user’s latest statement. The tweet goes: “Pro” for iPhone? Crazy naming schemes over the past few years.
Some have speculated that the “Max” won’t be dropped altogether and that there could be a chance that Apple could be coming up with both the iPhone 11 Max and the iPhone 11 Pro models this year.
Looking at the speculation, the Tech Radar report said that it is very possible that the Pro version of the iPhone is coming since it could mean that Apple is indeed aligning the iPhones with its iPad line, particularly the iPad Pro which is also expected to have a new variant this September. Doing so will definitely strengthen the Pro line which also includes the MacBook Pro.
This seems like exciting news for a phone model that has been getting so much negative publicity even before its official release because many have already speculated that it will be unexciting, although necessary, upgrade of future iPhone models.
Per a report from 9to5Mac, the new phones will follow a similar design as the 2018 models in terms of screen size, screen resolution and even screen technology. The new phones will still have the Face ID that’s powered with True Depth camera. The front camera notch size will also remain the same. However, expect the 3D Touch to no longer be available.
The back camera, of course, remains to be the biggest news when it comes to the iPhone 11. The triple-camera module will make the iPhone 11 camera one of the most powerful in the market. Apart from the wide-angle and telephoto capabilities that have been available from previous models, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max is also expected to have a new ultrawide angle sensor. Per the report, all the new phones will get the new feature called "Smart Frame".
