iPhone 11 Release Shocker: Apple Is Going Ahead With Boring Redesign
Despite what seemed to be a hopeless case, some Apple analysts held on to the hope that the Cupertino giant would somehow ditch plans on the expected triple camera render set for the iPhone 11 release.
The rear camera setup, although expected to be powerful, has been called a lot of things including “ugly” and “boring.” Some actually held on to the hope that this feature won’t make it to the 2019 iPhone lineup especially after news that Apple is ditching the anticipated camera upgrade which would have made use of Quantum Dot image sensors. This would have set this year’s flagship lineup to have one of the most powerful cameras in the market.
But according to Forbes, the triple camera design has already been confirmed based on leaked iPhone cases said to be bought by popular YouTube vlogger, Filip Koroy (EverythingApplePro). Koroy was able to attain iPhone 11 cases from a Chinese supplier and in fact, had to buy 100 cases just to get his hands on the product.
Based on the case, the mold pretty much confirms the leaked schematics of the iPhone 11 which was described by Forbes as Apple’s “most controversial redesign in a decade.”
The case shows that the large notch that will corral the triple camera is indeed going to appear with the notch-less, bezel-less phone. The next iPhone lineup is also expected to have the largest camera bulge in the smartphone market. The iOS phones will also be thicker and heavier, yes even if the Cupertino firm already sells the heaviest smartphone in the world (iPhone XS Max).
The mute notch will also change which is not exactly a bad thing. On a positive note, the leak lights up new hope that this year’s phone could have the much-awaited USB-C port.
Based on the supposed confirmation of the ugly iPhone design, some reports speculate that this could be the reason for the departure of celebrated Apple designer, Jonathan Ive.
According to Bloomberg, the designer hasn’t worked much on Apple products since the 2015 Apple Watch. His departure from the Cupertino team right before the iPhone 11 launch could also mean that he had no hand whatsoever in the design of the 2019 lineup.
This recent news of Apple’s next smartphones is simply creating a strong case of why people should simply wait for the 2020 iPhones.
