It is no longer unusual to read headlines from various news sites stating that the release of a particular product would be delayed or a particular tech event is canceled. The current COVID-19 outbreak threatening to be a global pandemic caused a lot of disruption in the industry. While some are panicking over the deadly virus, a massive leak about the next-generation flagship iPhone 12 series surfaced online.
iPhone 12 Camera Configuration
We have heard a lot of leaks about Apple’s next-generation flagship smartphone series, the iPhone 12. The latest set of leaks comes from Apple leaker named PineLeaks, who shares interesting details about the upcoming iPhone, especially its camera configuration. First, it claims that Apple is currently testing a 64 MP shooter from Sony.
This lens would enable the iPhone 12 to produce more detailed and well-lighted shots. Like most Android smartphones with high camera resolution practice, it is possible that Apple would use pixel binning. Additionally, the tipster reveals that all cameras of the iPhone 12 would feature night mode.
Apple is reportedly looking into integrating a macro camera to the upcoming smartphone so it could offer more focus on objects from 2.2 cm distance. The current ultra-wide angle of the iPhone 11 series is 120 degrees wide, but the leaker claims that Apple would increase this by 35 percent. There would be improvements on the Smart HDR of the upcoming iPhone series, according to the tipster.
Other iPhone 12 Details
PineLeaks also claims that the iPhone 12 series would pack larger batteries compared to the current generation iPhone 11 because of the 5G support. 5G is believed to drain the battery of smartphones faster. Contrary to earlier leaks, the tipster said that Apple’s iOS 14 would not introduce major features. Instead, it would concentrate on updated user interfaces, design, and stability. It was earlier reported that Apple would allow users to change default apps with the iOS 14, but it is not yet confirmed.
Apple is anticipated to launch the entry-level iPhone SE 2 this month. Although there are some uncertainties about this because of the COVID-19 outbreak, fans are optimistic that Apple would deliver the unit as scheduled.
