iPhone 4S vs. HTC Rezound: Smartphone Specs Showdown
The audiophilic HTC Rezound launches today on Verizon Wireless. In addition to 4G LTE and a hefty 1.5 Ghz processor, the Rezound includes Beats Audio technology from Dr. Dre's Beats Electronics line and is the first HTC phone to come with a 720p HD touch display.
We think it's going to be a hit this holiday season, but how will it stack up against its Verizon brethren, especially the ever-popular Apple iPhone? The short answer: we think the HTC Rezound will be a great gift option for the younger set. Its high-resolution screen, powerful processor and Beats Audio integration places the focus squarely on media consumption. All that power comes at a price, though. At 165 grams and 13.65mm-thick, the Rezound is no dainty dame; it's both heavier and thicker than many smartphones on the market, making it a less-than-ideal option for those in the market for a sleek, image-conscious device. Still, it sports a 4.3-inch screen with gorgeous 342 ppi resolution, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera that shoots 1080p HD video, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB of storage (16GB internal and 16GB via an SD card), and 1 GB of RAM.
