iPhone 6C Rumors: Premium Design, Topnotch Performance, Longer Battery Life Expected As Its Mass Production Starts Next Month
Fresh information on the iPhone 6C suggests that the mass production of the upcoming small-sized iPhone will start in January. The information, coming from a Chinese blog, also discusses some of the key specs of the purported next Apple smartphone.
According to MyDrivers, supply chain sources have revealed that the iPhone 6C will be coming with a 4-inch display that will be protected by 2.5D curved glass, Gadgetz Arena reported. It is the same curved glass seen on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S smartphones.
The iPhone 6C will be featuring the Apple A9 chipset under its hood. It will be accompanied by 2 GB of RAM. The newly released iPhone 6S and 6S Plus smartphones feature A9 chip and the same amount of RAM.
The starting model will carry an internal storage of 16 GB. It will be arriving with a rear camera of 8 megapixel. For security and Apple Pay, the iPhone 6C will be equipped with Touch ID fingerprint sensor. It will be packed with a battery of 1,642 mAh battery.
The Apple iPhone 6C will be blessed with a full-metal design like the current iPhones. It will be available in color variants like space gray, gold and silver.
As far as the pricing of iPhone 6C is concerned, the starting model will cost 4000 yuan ($617). The alleged pricing and specifications of the iPhone 6C clearly indicates that it will not be an entry-level smartphone as the present cost of iPhone 5S is 3,288 yuan ($506), Apple Insider reported.
Rumors are suggesting that Apple has already built some of the initial trial units of the iPhone 6C and mass production will begin next month. Previous speculation had it releasing in March 2016 and going on sale by April.
