Apple’s next iPhone, supposedly to be called the iPhone 11, is already getting negative reviews even before its official release.

According to Forbes, the iPhone 11 will sport a “boring” design, noting the awkward schematics released via a leaked report. The leak was supposedly confirmed as a real thing as it was released by notable Apple insider, Macotakara and corroborated by Steve Hemmerstoffer. Hemmerstoffer is considered as one of the most reliable sources of information on the Cupertino giant.

The information shows that the next iPhone will have a protruding three-camera design in a chassis that looks like it could be an “upgrade” of the iPhone XS. This design would put the next phone somewhere along the designs of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro although that design is literally so 2018.

The supposed leak is worrying to most Apple analysts as the clunky design would take the tech giant one giant step back from their widely-popular minimalist identity. This puts Apple in an awkward position as it badly needs some serious upgrade in its iPhone line-up and going the way of Android might not work for the iOS company in the end.

With that being said, there seems to be a silver lining on the horizon. Apple might be coming up with an underwhelming iPhone 11 but if recent reports are true, then we could finally look forward to an excellent follow-up of the iPhone SE.

Unofficially regarded as the iPhone SE 2, news from the Taiwanese website, Digitimes reported that Apple is gearing to release three phones of different sizes for 2020. One of these screens is only half an inch larger than the popularly-accepted iPhone SE, supposedly to make way for a home button-less phone.

DigiTimes also states that this mini iPhone will showcase an OLED display which either has a Samsung Display's Y-Octa or LG Display's TOE touch technology. This is great news for the SE fans lured by the phone’s powerful features, compact design and affordability compared to other models.

The new design can be described as dynamic as it would combine the technology of Apple’s newer phone models and the appeal and convenience of the old SE model.
