Irate Construction Worker Destroys Boss' $98,000 Range Rover In Fit Of Rage
The term “revenge is a dish best served cold” couldn't be more fitting after an irate construction worker used a digger and vented out his anger on his boss' $98,000 Range Rover.
A construction yard in Bradford, West Yorkshire turned into a demolition derby when one of its employees took matters into his own hands, made his way to the heavy duty vehicle and destroyed his boss' luxury car and a heavy goods vehicle (HGV).
The site's CCTV camera captured the unexpected accident Saturday. While partially blocked on the bottom part, it can be assumed that the black Range Rover was being dropped by the digger. Feeling that it wasn't enough, the worker shifted his attention on the parked HGV. The worker dropped the digger's bucked twice where it almost destroyed the vehicle's cab.
Footage also displayed the bravery of the other employees who risked their lives and jumped in to the moving digger to suppress the vexed worker.
According to The Sun, the worker who operated the orange digger was accused of being under the influence of alcohol.
In addition, the source pointed that the man became infuriated when he was sent home by his boss. He then returned to the yard and used his own set of keys and gained access to the digger.
An employee was also able to record the episode and offered a new vantage point. This time, it revealed the amount of damage the HGV had sustained, as well as the instance where his fellow workers “physically hauling” him out of the digger's cab.
“ I know I'm in trouble, I don't give a f—k,” shouted the man as he was pinned to the ground.
Others can be heard throwing expletives at the man, while some screamed “get the police.”
Daily Mail reported that a woman who claimed to be the man's daughter came out and lambasted those who were in the video.
She said that they maltreated her father and left him with “broken ribs.”
“ Who the f—k are those in the machine with him because you're f-----g bang out of order doing that to my dad... You two have made things ten times worse,” said the alleged daughter.
She pointed that she and her father knew that “he was in the wrong” and could've dealt with the issue on a more peaceful term.
Through a spokeswoman, yard owner Thomas Compton Demolition said that had it not been for the brave men who jumped on to the digger and pulled down on the deadman lever, lives would've been lost.
“ This man was determined to destroy lives and machinery,” added the statement while at the same time pointing to the fact that the man didn't care if there were people inside the vehicles that he destroyed.
“ People were in front of the machine, telling him to stop yet he continued heading towards them.
“ We are thankful that nobody lost their lives or their legs.”
The West Yorkshire Police was notified of the incident and are now “looking into it.”
