Ireland Baldwin Calls Out Jelena Fans For Disrespecting Hailey And Justin At 2021 Met Gala [Video]

Fandoms might have the whole of Hollywood in their pocket, but more often than not, fans and stans turn toxic with their obsessive and over-zealous reactions. At the recent Met Gala, Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber had to face the wrath of some Jelena fans who thought it's perfectly okay to chant the singer's ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez's name when the couple walked down the red carpet.

Now, a TikTok user @biebervelli has shared the clip that shows the fans' atrocious behavior. The user said they were trying to “ruin Justin and Hailey’s red carpet moment” by shouting out his ex-girlfriend’s name. Responding to the video, Hailey's cousin Ireland Baldwin commented: "They're one of the happiest and most in love couples I've ever gotten the chance to be around."

The fashion model added that the couple pays no mind to the haters. "They don't care about them," she wrote, with a cry-laugh emoji.

Although both Hailey and Justin appear unfazed by the chants, as soon as the video was posted online, several fans pointed out that it probably did affect them, with one fan claiming, "This is why he looked so anxious and miserable in all the pics."

Meanwhile, another one wrote, “Did he just tell her ‘don’t cry’?” It’s not clear yet if these chants made Hailey cry, but so far the happy couple hasn’t said anything about the incident.

In fact, the “Yummy” singer went on to serenade his gorgeous wife later on in the evening at Balenciaga's Afterparty as the couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary.

Looks like JB made up for what happened on the red carpet, but his fans sure did not let this pass. Several of his fans were "disgusted" or highly annoyed that a few people with working frontal lobes tried to ruin Justin and Hailey’s peace of mind.

Some of them took to Twitter to express their disappointments. One fan wrote: “People are sickos who don't care about his mental health and it's really disheartening.”

Another one tweeted: “bruh whoever was at the met gala yesterday yelling SELENA when justin and hailey came, that shit was so disrespectful. imagine how they both felt especially hailey." [sic.]

One fan even pointed that there’s no bad blood between the exes, as they are both happy in their lives now and urged the fans to just stop “Selena is happy, Justin is happy and yet these jelena fans won’t stop? it’s 2021. Leave them alone already . what happened at the met gala and jelena fans chanting Selena’s name just to make hailey and Justin uncomfortable is beyond me. Justin is married! He moved on.”

Justin and Gomez called it quits finally in 2018 after dating on and off for years, shortly after which he tied the knot with Hailey in September.
