An Irish dad surely knew how to have the last laugh at his own funeral. After friends and family gathered at Kilmanagh, Leinster to pay their respects to Shay Bradley, the mourners had tears of laughter upon hearing his voice from beyond the grave.

In a pre-recorded funeral message, Bradley, a Defense Forces veteran, was heard calling out to the crowd to let him out of the coffin. "Hello, hello — let me out!" he was heard shouting and knocking, after his casket was lowered into the ground.

Bradley's daughter, Andrea, shared the minute-long video on Facebook, where he could be heard saying, "Where the f— am I? Let me out, let me out. It’s f—ing dark in here."

He continued, "Is that a priest I can hear? This is Shay, I’m in the box. No, in f—ing front of you. I’m dead."

Bradley put the ‘fun’ in the funeral, when he began singing, "Hello again, hello. Hello, I just called to say goodbye."

The veteran passed away on Oct. 8 "after a long illness bravely borne".

"My dad's dieing wish, always the pranksters, ya got them good Poppabear and gave us all a laugh just when we needed it!! I will love you forever #shayslastlaugh," wrote Andrea, on Facebook.

The Irish Defense Forces Veterans’ News also shared their condolences on Facebook, "It is with great sadness that I was informed the passing of our Military brother and veteran colleague Shay Bradley."

Andrea also took to Twitter to share a photo of his later father with the message, "It was his dieing wish that we played this at his funeral. What a man.... To make us all laugh when we were incredibly sad..... He was some man for one man.... Love you forever Poppabear #Shayslastlaugh".
