"Bachelor in Paradise" alumni Ashley Iaconetti and her husband, Jared Haibon, could not contain their excitement when they told fans about welcoming their first baby sometime in February next year.

The pair, who got married in Rhode Island in 2019, went on a live broadcast on Amazon on Wednesday to share the happy news. In the live stream, Haibon said they have been trying to have a baby for the past seven months. When Iaconetti first told him that she was pregnant, he found it unbelievable because they missed her ovulation period that month.

"We've been so good at keeping on schedule on ovulation until one day when we don't do it according to schedule, that's when she got pregnant," Haibon said.

The reality TV couple is set for a doctor's appointment next week to find out the sex of their baby. Iaconetti is in the 10th week of pregnancy.

"We're so excited. I can't wait to be a father and I can't wait to have a kid," Haibon added.

The couple has already picked a name for a boy but they are yet to decide on a name if it is a girl.

"People say that when you hold your baby for the first time, you're gonna fall in love with it," Haibon said.

"I wish somebody could give me a preview of how it feels like," Iaconetti added.

The couple also documented their pregnancy journey and posted a video on Haibon's Instagram page Wednesday. The video has since garnered more than 42,000 likes.

In February, Haibon revealed they were actively trying to have a baby, People reported.

"We're gonna try and let the chips fall where they may. Because, you know, we've been told it could — who knows how long it could take," he told the outlet.

In the Amazon live broadcast, Haibon said he is trying to learn more about pregnancy and is "growing up" in the process.

"We're so grateful that even if it took us seven months…you know, there are so many people who try for years…and it sucks," he revealed.

The pair celebrated their first wedding anniversary in August last year.
