Rob McElhenney, star of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and co-creator/star of Apple TV's "Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet," said that both his shows will feature episodes on the current coronavirus pandemic. While it has already been done on "Mythic Quest," an episode has yet to be done for "It's Always Sunny."

IGN reported that once the series returns for Season 15, fans will have a chance to see how McElhenney and the gang give their take on the ongoing outbreak. McElhenney also recalled an episode in Season 9 where 'The Gang Gets Quarantined' is similar to what is happening right now. He said that during that episode, the gang got locked up in the bar due to an ongoing flu outbreak in Philadelphia.

The series was also affected by the ongoing lockdowns caused by the virus. No word has been given yet on when Season 15 will come up, but McElhenney said he's hoping that it would be soon. It will be during that season that the 'COVID-19' episode will pop up, according to the star.

It isn't only in the series that McElhenney has tackled the issues regarding the coronavirus. In fact, way back in March, according to ABC Action News, McElhenney and his partner and co-star Kaitlin Olson have raised money for the organization Philabundance. The proceeds went into funding for the frontline battle against the outbreak.

McElhenney even went on Twitter, appealing to "generous people" for help with the GoFundMe page that they set-up for the organization. According to him, they will match all donations up to 25k. They appealed to people to "feed (people) most at-risk."

Meanwhile, "It's Always Sunny" is still in negotiations for Season 15 and 16 with FX, though nothing is sure at the moment. The actor said that he was hoping they would be able to get out of "Mythic Quest" to get started with "Sunny." When asked about whether he would get tired of doing the series, McElhenney said that he would do the series forever, given the chance.
