‘It’s A Wonderful Lifetime’ 2018 Movie Schedule: When To Watch Holiday Films
Lifetime is getting ready to ring in the holiday season with a full slate of holiday films and fare and will be getting ready for the most festive time of year earlier than previous holiday events.
This year’s event, titled “It’s A Wonderful Lifetime,” will be kicking off tonight with a special preview look at their programming schedule, which includes 14 brand new feature-length films, one cast special, and nine additional premieres of acquired holiday films. The movies are set to begin airing during Thanksgiving week and will continue airing every weekend thereafter until Christmas.
So if you’re looking for a great slate of movies to catch, be sure to check out the full lineup Lifetime is offering. Before settling in to watch with a warm cup of cocoa and a blanket, however, check out what the films are all about:
“It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” Preview Special-Airing Saturday, Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. EST
In this special, host Melissa Joan Hart will be visited by the “host” of Lifetime Christmas Past, Present, and Future and preview the 14 new original films coming to the network throughout the holiday season.
“My Christmas Inn”- Premieres Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 8 p.m. EST
Jen Taylor (Tia Mowry-Hardrict) is about to score a big promotion at the San Francisco ad agency where she works. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she inherits her aunt’s cozy inn in Alaska. When she arrives to inspect the property she finds nothing is what she expected—especially after she meets town attorney Steve Anderson (Rob Mayes). As she begins to embrace the town and their festive Christmas traditions, Jen begins to wonder if the inn is actually where she truly belongs. The film also stars Mowry-Hardict's “Sister, Sister” co-stars Jackée Harry and Tim Reid.
“A Christmas Arrangement”- Premieres Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 10 p.m. EST
Flower shop owner Poppy (Nicky Whelan) enters the annual holiday floral show with the hopes of winning the grand prize—unfortunately for her, Garrett (Miles Fisher), the underappreciated protégé of florist extraordinaire Blair (Daphne Zuniga) stands in her way. As the pair’s rivalry heats up, so does their romance.
“The Christmas Contract”- Premieres Thursday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. EST
Jolie (Hilarie Burton) is finally going home to Louisiana for the first time since her breakup with Foster (Hunter Burke), and when she learns he is also heading home with a new girlfriend in tow, she can’t bear the thought of going alone. When her best friend, Naomi (Danneel Ackles), suggests she bring her flaky brother, Jack (Robert Buckley) home with her, Jolie is hesitant. To convince them both it’s a good idea, Naomi creates a Christmas contract for them both to give them each something they seek. Little do they know, it will prove to be so much more than what either one of them signed up. The film also stars Burton, Buckley and Ackles’ “One Tree Hill” co-stars Antwon Tanner and Tyler Hilton.
“’Tis the Season: A One Tree Hill Cast Reunion”- Premieres Thursday, Nov. 22 at 10 p.m. EST
Following “The Christmas Contract,” the Tree Hill Ravens will reunite to celebrate the Christmas season in a one-hour special. Hilarie Burton, Tyler Hilton, Danneel Ackles, Antwon Tanner and Stephen Colletti will all reunite for a special evening which is set to include a few surprise special guests. The event will even be hosted by Dan Scott himself, Paul Johansson.
“Poinsettias for Christmas”- Premieres Friday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. EST
In the weeks before Christmas, Ellie (Bethany Joy Lenz) gets a call to return home to help her father (John Schneider) on the family’s poinsettia farm. The farm needs to deliver tens of thousands of plants for the town’s annual parade---but they haven’t yet turned red. As Ellie searches for a solution, she is reminded of where her heart truly lies as she falls in love again with her roots-and also, a local botanist (Marcus Rosner).
“Every Other Holiday”- Premieres Friday, Nov. 23 at 10 p.m. EST
Recently separated parents Tracie (Schuyler Fisk) and Rick (David Clayton Rogers) spend every other holiday with their young daughters, Harper and Ava, but this year, the girls only want to spend Christmas with both their parents at Tracie’s family farmhouse. The reunion won’t be easy, but this gathering may help rekindle their lost romance and make their daughters’ greatest wish could come true.
“Every Day is Christmas”- Premieres Saturday, Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. EST
Self-proclaimed workaholic Alexis Taylor (Toni Braxton) begins to embrace the spirit of Christmas when her past, present and future collide, forcing her to risk the one thing money can’t buy—her heart. The film also stars Gloria Reuben, Towanda Braxton and Michael Jai White.
“Christmas Harmony”- Premieres Saturday, Nov. 24 at 10 p.m. EST
When Harmony (Kelley Jakle) gets dumped by her pop star boyfriend right before the holidays, she returns to her quaint hometown to discover what her big city life was actually missing.
“Jingle Belle”- Premieres Saturday, Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. EST
Every year, Isabelle (Tatyana Ali) and her high school sweetheart, Mike (Cornelius Smith Jr.), impressed the town with their sweet Christmas duet at the annual Christmas Eve Pageant. But Isabelle left for New York after graduation and left him behind. Now, years later, Isabelle returns home to write the music for the Pageant and is shocked to learn Mike is the one directing the show. Will the former couple be able to put their differences aside for another festive duet? Loretta Devine, Valerie Pettiford, Obba Babatunde, Keshia Knight Pulliam and Tempestt Bledsoe also star.
“Christmas Perfection”- Premieres Saturday, Nov. 25 at 10 p.m. EST
As a kid, Darcy (Caitlin Thompson) never had control over her family’s holidays and has grown up to be a bit of a Christmas control freak as a result. As she continues losing sight of what the holidays actually mean, she finds herself magically transported into her idea of the perfect Christmas Village and learns that “perfection” isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be.
“A Very Nutty Christmas”- Premieres Friday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. EST
Bakery owner Kate Holiday (Melissa Joan Hart) sees her Christmas job disappear following a breakup with her boyfriend. However, the next morning, she wakes up to some unexpected Christmas magic in the form of Chip (Barry Watson), a handsome soldier who may (or may not) be the Nutcracker Prince from “The Nutcracker,” who just happens to show up in her living room. Will he help her get her spirit back in time to fulfill her numerous cookie orders? Marissa Jaret Winokur, Conchata Ferrell and Rizwan Manjo also star.
“A Twist of Christmas”- Premieres Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. EST
Two single parents—busy working mom Abby (Vanessa Lachey) and her son, and overwhelmed lawyer Ryan (Brendon Zub) and his daughter, accidentally mix up their toys at a crowded department store. Now, with a happy Christmas on the line, the two, who can’t stand each other, are forced to help each other salvage their holiday plans. Of course, they may still wind up falling for one another in the process.
“Love for Christmas”- Premieres Saturday, Dec. 1 at 10 p.m. EST
When Heather and Bobby run into each other when he returns home after leaving for the Navy years prior, they quickly realize that their mutual childhood crush might bring them an unexpected new romance.
“The Christmas Pact”- Premieres Sunday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. EST
Sadie (Kyla Pratt) and Ben (Jarod Joseph) decide to test the theory of whether or not the best friends can fall in love. When they were eight-years-old, they planted a scrawny 3-foot tall Christmas tree behind their church and made a Christmas Pact, but in the years since, their busy lives have threatened to break it. But with a little Christmas magic, each holiday that passes sees not only their tree grow taller and stronger, but also their love.

When cupcakery owner Cassie realizes her hunky new customer is none other than action superstar Alex Gray, their new relationship will be forced to survive both Hollywood—and the holidays.
“Christmas Lost and Found”- Premieres Friday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. EST
New York City event planner Whitney Kennison (Tiya Sircar) is heading home to Chicago to spend Christmas with Grandma Frances (Diane Ladd) for the first time in years, and her grandmother couldn’t be more excited. She gives Whitney the family Christmas ornaments, but Whitney mistakenly throws them out. Then, a scavenger hunt ensues and it becomes a race against time to reclaim the ornaments before it’s too late.
“Santa’s Boots”- Premieres Saturday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. EST
Holly (Megan Hilty) returns home for Christmas to learn that her family’s department store is on the brink of foreclosure. To try and keep the business going, Holly fills in as Santa’s Helper. It’s there she meets Nick (Noah Mills), who has been hired to play Santa at the store. Their charisma draws in big crowds—until Nick suddenly disappears. With only a misplaced black boot as a clue, Holly begins her search to hopefully find him in time for Christmas Day.
“A Christmas in Tennessee”- Premieres Sunday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. EST
Allison Bennet (Rachel Boston), her daughter, Olivia and mother Martha (Patricia Richardson) run a bakery in the small mountain town of White Pines, Tennessee. When real estate developer Matthew (Andrew Walker) comes to try and buy the town and transform it into a corporate ski resort, it’s up to them and the rest of the townspeople to prevent that from happening.
“Christmas Around the Corner”- Premieres Friday, Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. EST
Claire (Alexandra Breckenridge) a venture capitalist from New York City escapes to a quaint town in Vermont for the holidays and becomes a guest of the Fortenbury Bookstore. Upon arrival, Claire learns that the town has canceled their Christmas celebrations after a flood, which also left the bookstore in a state of disrepair. When she tries to help revitalize the store, she clashes with the owner, Andrew (Jamie Spilchuk). Sparks eventually begin to fly between the two—until she learns that Andrew is planning to sell the bookstore in the New Year.
“Christmas Pen Pals”- Premieres Saturday, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. EST
After an unexpected breakup and a challenge to save her failing business, Hannah (Sarah Drew), who created the dating app, Perfect One, heads home for the holidays. When she returns, she runs into her high school boyfriend, Sam (Niall Matter), and makes a deal with her dad, Ted (Michael Gross) to sign up for the town’s Christmas Cupid, an anonymous holiday pen pal service. Hannah starts to become smitten with the beautiful letters she receives, and when Christmas Eve arrives and she learns her pen pal’s identity, she may learn that her soul mate is the last person she ever expected.
“Hometown Christmas”- Premieres Sunday, Dec. 16 at 8 p.m. EST
Noelle Collins (Beverley Mitchell) returns to Louisiana for Christmas with big plans to resurrect the town’s live nativity. However, when she runs into her high school sweetheart, injured baseball star Nick Russell (Stephen Colletti), things become complicated—especially when they learn their parents want to be more than just friends. The two reluctantly team up when the live nativity starts to fall apart, and soon enough, love begins to bloom once more.
“A Christmas Kiss”- Premieres Friday, Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. EST
A high-end interior designer, Priscilla, and her assistant, Wendy, vie for the attention of Priscilla’s socialite boyfriend while decorating his home for the holidays.
“A Golden Christmas”- Premieres Saturday, Dec. 22 at 8 p.m. EST
Several years ago, a special dog brought two friends together, and now, this long-lost duo will reconnect during Christmas.
“3 Holiday Tails”- Premieres Sunday, Dec. 23 at 8 p.m. EST
With the help of their family, friends and four lovable dogs, David and Lisa may finally learn that they’re meant to be together at Christmas.
