Ivanka Trump encountered a mishap when she went surfing with her kids Sunday as she accidentally knocked her 5-year-old son in the head with her surfboard.

Trump celebrated Mother's Day with her three children, Arabella, 9, Joseph, 7, and Theodore, 5, by hitting the beach in Miami, Florida, and enjoying a private surfing lesson.

In photos obtained by Daily Mail of the outing, she wore black leggings and a long-sleeved blue shirt printed with the words South Beach Surf Club. She tied her hair in a loose braid and let it hang down her back.

Trump, who was accompanied by a bearded surf instructor, suffered several tumbles during the session. At one point, she hit Theodore on the face with her blue and white surfboard when she lost control and toppled over.

In the pictures of their surfing lesson, she appeared horrified upon seeing that the surfboard was heading toward Theodore. The instructor headed toward her son, while she raised her arms in an apparent attempt to slow down, the outlet noted.

Despite the mishap, Theodore was unharmed, and the family went on with their day. Theodore was later seen laughing with his siblings and joking around while they were floating on their boards.

Meanwhile, Trump couldn't stop beaming when she finally made her way out of the water. The mother of three cheered on her children, who were also learning to surf. She was photographed flashing a thumbs up and clapping proudly when they finally stood up on their boards.

Trump's husband, Jared Kushner, was not present during the family's surfing lesson, the outlet said.

But though he was absent for this outing, Kushner, along with his wife, has been spotted several times spending time with their children since relocating to Miami, where they signed a one-year lease on a luxury condo at the oceanfront residential building Arte. Trump and her husband were previously photographed going swimming and golfing with their children.

An unnamed source familiar with Trump's life post-White House told CNN that she wanted to focus on her family after leaving Washington, D.C.

"She wants to spend as much time as she can with her family after a few very busy years," the insider said, adding that Trump continues to be a "hands-on" mom.
