'Jack Ryan' Season 2: New Trailer Confirms Russian Connection
Amazon announced the release date “Jack Ryan” Season 2 with a new trailer. The video also gives the fans a glimpse of the story, and it also confirmed a Russian connection the plot that is based primarily in Venezuela.
The popular action drama series will return on Nov. 1. Amazon Prime Video called it the new season Jack’s (John Krasinski) “new assignment.”
The trailer begins with Jack asking about the greatest threat they face on the world stage. The CIA will be evaluating why Venezuela, a country that is rich with natural resources, is facing a humanitarian crises.
Jack will be travelling to Venezuela in the next season, where he will meet the fiery leader of the opposition. The CIA’s main goal may be to overthrow the president of the South American country, who is the villain. The opposition leader may be instrumental in this effort.
While the main plot is based in Venezuela, the trailer confirmed that it has a Russian connection. “Jack Ryan” Season 2 will begin with Krasinski’s character tracking a shipment of illegal arms in the South American country, Deadline reported.
The trailer confirmed that the illegal arms may be coming from Russia. Krasinski’s character will have to travel to Russia to confirm his suspicions after he shares them with his boss James Greer (Wendell Pierce).
Jack appears to be getting a leadership role in the new season. Krasinski previously told Entertainment Weekly that his character is a “changed man” in Season 2.
Another big change is that Jack will be getting a new love interest played by Noomi Rapace. Krasinski confirmed that Jack has feelings for the new character, but the situation they are in is dangerous because he is a spy operating in a hostile country.
Krasinski’s character is no longer a CIA analyst in “Jack Ryan’ Season 2. He will be forced to leave his desk and travel across the globe for his new assignment.
