'Jack Ryan' Season 2 Theory: Balancing Career And Relationship
John Kransinski’s character will have to take on another big challenge in “Jack Ryan” Season 2. But, while he is out saving the world, what happens to his relationship with Cathy (Abbie Cornish)? The protagonist will have to balance his career and relationship.
Kransinski’s character was able to manage his budding love with Cathy in the first season really well, despite some initial problems. The CIA analyst had a lot on his plate, with managing the new boss and office politics while tracking down a dangerous terrorist.
What can the fans expect to see in the next season? According to a theory by Screen Rant, the plot of the show this time around will force the CIA analyst to travel outside the country often. While this in itself could strain his relationship, the problem he could face is Cathy’s life being in danger because of him.
According to the theory, if Cathy’s life is endangered because of her boyfriend, it will be a good conflict to watch in “Jack Ryan” Season 2. If the two characters are able to overcome this challenge, the reconciliation will also give the show a fulfilling ending.
Some of the other issues the show may deal with this year include the fall out after the Ebola virus breakout and the future of Suleiman’s (Ali Suliman) family. The TV series may also give more insights about the protagonist’s past in the form of flash backs, just like in the first season.
The CIA analyst was supposed to go to Russia after a promotion. However, according to Screen Rant, the TV series is skipping “The Hunt for Red October” plot for now and taking the character straight to Venezuela.
The plot of “Jack Ryan” Season 2, as revealed in a teaser, is about the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela. The country is rich with resources, but it is facing financial challenges that appear to be because of its president, who is the villain on the show.
