"Charlie's Angels" star Jaclyn Smith has opened up about the viral photo in which she looked younger than her 39-year-old son, Gaston Richmond. The 76-year-old actress said Wednesday that all credit behind the picture goes to "great lighting."

"I'll tell you it was a good photo. Right place, right time. That's the luck of the draw. Great lighting," Smith told Page Six.

The actress went on to share the story behind the picture, which took the internet by storm shortly after it was posted on Instagram on Dec. 16, 2021.

"I'm with a person that I adore, my son, and it was a going-away party, so my eyes were probably glistening with tears there, sparkling because he's one of the humans I worship," she recalled.

Smith, who believes she's the luckiest lady in the world because of her son, also said the image perfectly captured how she felt at the time it was taken.

"I love what that photo says to me," she explained. "It says I'm the luckiest lady in the world to have a son like him. As we know in pictures, they reflect what's going on inside of you, and that picture reflected every emotion I had at that moment."

During the interview, the actress also looked back on working on the popular TV series "Charlie's Angels," which ran for five seasons from 1976 to 1981.

"The heartbeat of that show was the girls. The first three, we all got along, we were all friends," she recalled. "Farrah [Fawcett] and I had a similar background coming from Texas, and Kate [Jackson] was the leader. She had already done a series."

The actress noted that Jackson was the "boss" at that time, adding, "We didn't know what we would find at the other end."

She also admitted that whenever she thinks about her career, it always comes back to the "Charlie's Angels" series.

Smith was last seen in the sports-based TV series "All American," which premiered in 2018. She also appeared in the movie "Random Acts of Christmas," which was released in 2019.

The actress has been married to surgeon Brad Allen since 1997. She shares her son Gaston with her ex-husband, Anthony B. Richmond.
