Jalen Ramsey is standing his ground and wants out of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 21-year-old did miss practice recently and explained that he was really sick and not holding out.

“For me, respect is a huge thing... I’m going to continue being a top corner in this league for years to come. The money will come, but money isn’t everything. Peace and happiness mean a lot more than the money,” said Ramsey on the "Uninterrupted's 17 Weeks" podcast.

From the looks of it, Ramsey may have played his last game in a Jaguars uniform against the Tennessee Titans. Jacksonville won over Tennessee 20-7 to move up 1-2. The Jaguars will face the Denver Broncos this Sunday with Ramsey questionable.

In a previous report, sources claim that the Jaguars had little to no indication of trading away the two-time Pro Bowler. Pundits feel that if the team had wanted to trade him, it would have gone down by now. And it appears Ramsey will start playing hardball if he does not suit up against the Broncos.

According to ESPN, the Jaguars are open to meeting with Ramsey in Denver to start him in Week 4. The fifth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft has yet to inform the Jags of his plans for Sunday. Factoring in the missed practices and unexcused absences, it seems to indicate that Ramsey is reminding Jacksonville that he wants out.

Jaguars coach Doug Marrone downplayed the missed practices due to an illness and said that this happens all the time. However, he may 55-year-old may need to do a better job explaining the situation if Ramsey continues to hold out.

One team that is reportedly in pursuit of Ramsey are the Philadelphia Eagles. Citing sources, The Athletic mentioned how the Eagles plan to pick up their pursuit of Ramsey.

“The Eagles will spend the next few days trying to pry Jalen Ramsey from the Jags, as they know their lack of coverage will prevent them from competing at the highest level,” former Browns GM Mike Lombardi.

The Eagles could use Ramsey since their defensive line has taken a hit due to injuries. For a deal to materialize, Philly will have to give up at least one first-round pick together with a handful of other picks to get the former First-team All-Pro.
