  • Jake Paul and Dana White's beef is still ongoing
  • White reveals that Paul wanted to sign with the UFC
  • Paul refutes the allegations

Jake Paul’s beef with the UFC continues even as the promotion is set to hold Conor McGregor-Dustin Poirier III this weekend.

The Youtuber-turned-boxer once again set his sights on UFC president Dana White after the latter claimed that Paul wanted to sign a contract with the company.

However, White stressed that he would rather not offer a contract to the internet sensation.

White appeared on CNBC’s "Squawk on the Street" to talk about the fighters’ pay and demands for live events.

“That’s been going on for 20 years too and it’ll continue be going on for the next 20 years,” White said when asked about how fighters hoping to get a higher cut for their performances.

“I don’t think we’re ever gonna see a scenario where you see a fighter or anybody say they’re overpaid. You’re always gonna have a certain level of guys that feel like they’re being paid enough. You don’t hear the guys that actually bring in the revenue complaining about pay.”

White was then asked about Paul.

“He didn’t fight for me! Hey, that bum didn’t fight for me!” retorted White.

Then came the allegation that Paul wanted to sign a UFC deal, but White rebuffed the idea.

“He wanted to sign with us. I wouldn’t sign him,” he stated.

Paul would then reply on social media with his own story saying that he never wanted to sign with the UFC and that he never will.

To Paul’s credit, he has been advocating for UFC fighters to be paid more than what their current agreements state.

For White, he’s never had any interest in working with Paul as he doubted Triller’s reported numbers after the Paul-Ben Askren fight.

The UFC president will have to put Paul on the backburner for now as the company is all hands on deck for the McGregor-Poirier fight as that fight--as Poirier thinks--will be a No. 1 contender bout for the lightweight title.
