Jake Paul is all set to face Tyron Woodley in a rematch on Saturday, December 18, and there is no telling who he will target next.

Names such as Nate Diaz were suggested, but a recent health update from the 24-year-old suggested his young boxing career run may end abruptly.

Speaking to The Sun, Paul revealed that he has been advised by doctors to quit boxing before it is too late.

The YouTuber claimed that he is suffering from memory loss and slurred speech, something that allegedly all started when he was still actively playing competitive football.

“I got my brain scanned right before I started boxing and the doctor told me there’s lack of blood flow from the concussions I had playing football to certain areas on my brain… After my first year of boxing, I went back and it was worse… [The doctor's] advice is don’t do that sport. That’s all they can advise as a doctor, I think before it was affecting me at a rapid pace because I never took it easy,” Paul stated.

The symptoms that Paul described are signs associated with chronic traumatic encephalopathy or CTE.

This normally occurs from multiple subconcussive or concussive hits to the head, leading to impaired motor and other functions relating to the brain.

Despite the health risk that he faces, he admitted to using psychedelic drugs to address the issue.

Hence, it will be interesting what Paul may announce after his fight with Woodley.

Win or lose, the internet sensation has been known not to mince words is bound to announce something big.
