Jameis Winston Alleged Sexual Assault Prompts Twitter Reaction From The Florida State QB's Fans

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is being investigated for felony sexual assault. The news about Winston, who is said to be a frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy, prompted a strong Twitter response when it was revealed on Wednesday.
A woman filed the sexual assault complaint with the Tallahassee Police Department on Dec. 7, 2012. She said Winston used “physical force” when he committed the alleged sexual assault, according to TMZ. The motive in the alleged crime was “sexual gratification.” The police report added the accuser said alcohol was involved before the incident. It happened in an apartment where police took pictures of her injuries.
Winston is described as having a “polite” demeanor in the police report and being “muscular.” The investigation is still “ongoing,” and they are looking for proof that the victim was penetrated.
A rep for Florida State University told TMZ, "We are aware of a matter that was investigated by the Tallahassee Police Department almost a year ago. Because the investigation has not been closed by TPD, we cannot comment further at this time. We look forward to a speedy resolution of the issue. There is no change in Jameis Winston's status."
Many fans were surprised to hear about the sexual assault allegations against the college football star, and took to Twitter to share their disbelief and shock. Check out some of their reactions below:
