James Franco’s Friends ‘Worried’ As Actor ‘Struggles’ Amid Sexual Behavior Allegations
James Franco’s close friends are worried about the actor after he was accused of sexual assault by five women.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Franco’s friends are watching him round the clock to make sure that he’s doing well. Unfortunately, the actor has not been doing well, and he’s struggling.
The same source added that Franco has been a nervous wreck ever since the #MeToo movement gained momentum because he anticipated that stories about his misdemeanor would also come out.
“He’s not surprised this came out. He actually reached out to multiple former students from his class, so he could speak to them. He is genuinely remorseful,” the source said.
Franco has since denied all of the allegations thrown against him, but said that he understands that women deserve to have a voice and must speak up. Another source said that “The Deuce” star is in distress, but it’s not because he’s guilty of what he did to his five accusers.
“This has been incredibly difficult to deal with and navigate, not because he feels guilty but because he is navigating this situation and wants to ensure he is doing the right thing, supporting the movement and not undermining any woman,” the source said.
Franco reportedly has evidence that will prove that none of the accusations against him are correct. However, the actor does not have any plans to release it because he does not want to silence the women who have spoken up.
The Los Angeles Times published an article last week that detailed the experiences of the five women against the actor. Four of the five women were his former students, and they claimed that he abused his power. Franco was also accused of storming off when two of his students refused to take off their clothes during production.
Franco’s sexual behavior came to light after the actor was spotted wearing a Time’s Up pin at the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards earlier this month. The actor worn best actor in a musical or comedy award for his role in “The Disaster Artist.”
