Jana Kramer gave fans a glimpse of how she celebrated Christmas this year with her children.
Kramer took to Instagram Monday and shared a snap and clips of her children Jolie, 7, and Jace, 4, opening their presents under the Christmas tree. The two kids seemingly enjoyed the gifts their mom prepared for them. At one point, Jace exclaimed, "Oh my goodness, gracious!"
In the caption, the American singer shared that they have to spend Christmas a day later than the rest of the world. They reunited Monday for their Christmas morning because the kids were with their dad, her ex-husband Mike Caussin, on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
"Celebrated Christmas morning with the kiddos today," she wrote. "It was still the same joy even on a different day...and it even snowed just like a true Christmas Day. Pure magic. Thanks to the mommas who told me about this idea."
She added, "And a big Shoutout to the grinch for leaving me the flu in my stocking and an ear infection for Jace."
Kramer and Caussin separated in 2021 after he reportedly cheated on her with more than 13 women. They officially ended their six-year marriage when they finalized their divorce in July 2021.
Kramer has custody of their children 240 days a year, while Caussin gets the other 125 days. Last year, Jolie and Jace spent Christmas with their mom. So this year, they spent the holiday with their dad.
Kramer previously said she dreaded the thought of Christmas Eve without her kids.
"I can honestly barely talk about it without getting emotional. It's going to be rough," she told Us Weekly in November 2021. "Next year, I can't even think about not having them on Christmas Eve night. Instead of, kind of, future tripping, I'm like, 'OK, just take it day by day.'"
Earlier this month, she echoed the same sentiment of not having her children for Christmas Eve during an Instagram Q&A.
"I was dreading this holiday," she said. "Because I knew the first holiday I had them Christmas Eve night, and I always knew that this one was going to be the first [I was alone], and it was going to be extremely hard."
