‘Jane The Virgin’ Guest Star Gloria Estefan Feels Happy To Be A Part Of Her Favorite Show
“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 guest star Gloria Estefan was smiling from ear to ear when she made a guest appearance on the show, and she felt so right at home that she considers the whole cast and crew as her “family.”
“So happy to actually be a part of one of my favorite shows on television, ‘Jane the Virgin.’ It feels like family. Thanks to the entire cast and crew and our incredible director and friend, Eva Longoria. On the show Rogelio (Jaime Camil) has always been saying that I'm one of his best friends,” Gloria told E! News. “Funny, because [my husband] Emilio and I consider Jaime one of our best friends too! FUN!”
Estefan even posted a photo with the ladies of “Jane the Virgin” on her Instagram account (@gloriaestefan). “The ladies of @cwjanethevirgin SO happy to be here filming today!!! @hereisgina @evalongoria @yaelgrobglas @andreanavedo #yvonnecoll,” she wrote.
As for lead star Gina Rodriguez, who plays Jane Gloriana Villanueva, she also shared the same group photo - but this time, the ladies were making wacky poses. “When you are surrounded by empowering and loving women who uplift each other! #JaneTheVirgin,” she wrote.
Exciting things are in store for the third season of the show, especially with Jane finally losing her virginity.
“She does lose her virginity this year,” showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s in the first half of the season, and it’s quite a big episode for us.”
Aside from that, Jane’s mother Xo (Andrea Navedo) will also be pregnant for the second time around. “We always knew that we wanted Xo to not want to have a baby and then we were trying to figure out how we were going to be ending her story,” Urman told The Hollywood Reporter. “If she got pregnant with Rogelio's nemesis, it would be very shocking to her and to the audience and also she doesn't want to have a baby so that's definitely going to be something that we dive into.”
“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
