‘Jane The Virgin’ Season 5: Yael Grobglas, Rosario Dawson Share Set Photos
“Jane the Virgin” is on hiatus until 2019, but fans can look to social media to get their fix. The critically acclaimed CW comedy is filming, and stars like Yael Grobglas and Rosario Dawson have been sharing behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram.
Grobglas and Dawson play couple Petra and J.R. on the comedy, and it looks like they have some scenes together in the “Jane the Virgin” Season 5 premiere.
“Ship #Petramos sails again... #WhatAPair,” Dawson wrote on Instagram alongside a video of her and Grobglas getting their hair and makeup done. The blonde actress reposted the clip for her followers too.
Both actresses also shared a photo with star Gina Rodriguez, who is making her directorial debut with the Season 5 premiere (and also recently signed on to direct an episode of The CW’s “Charmed” reboot). “I hope when you hear the words Actor, Director, Show-runner or Boss these kinds of faces come to mind,” Grobglas captioned the photo. Dawson posted the same snapshot in black and white.
Petra and J.R. might not share as many smiles and giggles on screen. The two left off with an intense cliffhanger. Petra admitted that she shoved her sister, but she didn’t intend to kill her. J.R. felt betrayed and claimed she never wanted to see Petra again. However, once she learned that Krishna wasn’t actually the blackmailer and the real one was going to kill Petra, she changed her mind.
Audiences saw Petra scream as a gun was pointed in her direction, and then J.R. tackled the shooter. She shot the assailant, but audiences don’t know whom J.R. shot.
That’s not the only cliffhanger fans have to deal with, though. The final moments of “Jane the Virgin” Season 5 revealed actor Brett Dier has returned to the show. Is he Michael? Is he Michael’s long lost twin? Is he someone who got plastic surgery to look like Michael? Fans have to wait until 2019 to find out, but, as previously reported, Dier teased that it’s a great storyline.
“I had a meeting with the creator of [‘Jane the Virgin,’ Jennie Snyder Urman] last week and my jaw was literally on the table,” Dier wrote on Twitter in July. “This final season is going to be the most insane. I can’t wait for you all to see this!!!! It will blow your mind.”
“Jane the Virgin” Season 5 does not yet have a premiere date.
