'Jane The Virgin' Spoilers: Jaime Camil Dishes On Britney Spears' Guest Appearance

Pop superstar Britney Spears is set to appear in this week’s episode of hit comedy series “Jane The Virgin.” Cast member Jaime Camil, who plays Jane’s father, Rogelio dela Vega, dishes the juicy details of her cameo role. [Warning: Spoiler Alert]

The Milos connection

In an exclusive interview with TV Guide, Camil reveals that Britney is coming to Marbella in connection to Milos, and his plans with Petra (Yael Grobglas). Rogelio says that she will be performing at the pair’s wedding. It may be remembered that at the end of the previous episode, Milos returned and demanded marriage from Petra, in exchange of the hotel shares that he bought for her.

Rogelio vs. Britney

As seen in the Episode 5 trailer, Rogelio isn’t pleased about Britney’s presence at the Marbella. He believes that they have a rivalry and he will confront her about it. In the end, Camil reveals that Rogelio will end up receiving a restraining order, following his attempts to have a confrontation.

Jane and Britney’s dance-off

Unfortunately for Jane (Gina Rodriguez), the dance-off between her and Britney did not actually take place. In the trailer, Jane is seen dancing alongside Britney, to the tune of the hit song “Toxic.” Camil reveals that this entire sequence takes place in Jane’s head, and the actual meeting will be a lot less eventful.

Everyone knows that Britney Spears is an accomplished singer and performer. However, Camil gushes over her impressive acting skills. “She is very funny. The comedic timing is brilliant,” he said. He went on to say that she was “always willing to explore what's best for the show acting-wise and tone-wise.”
