‘Jane The Virgin’ Star Gina Rodriguez Gets Fans Excited For Show's Return With Hilarious Behind-The-Scenes Video

“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 will be back soon, but for the meantime, lead star Gina Rodriguez is drumming up excitement for the show’s return by sharing a behind-the-scenes take of a previous episode.

Rodriguez shared the video on her Instagram page. In it, she can be seen wearing a cat burglar costume. The “Mission: Impossible” soundtrack was softly playing in the background, but without the show’s usual sound accompaniment, Rodriguez’s acting skills are highlighted and her every expression is magnified.

So what’s in store for Rodriguez’s character Jane Gloriana Villanueva this year? The actress earlier revealed to Access Hollywood that she went to Thailand to learn about muay thai. “I’m off to Thailand to train at a muay thai training camp. It’s for Jane. There’s a transformation that happens in Jane’s life, so I’m going to go prepare for it,” she teased. But as to what this transformation might be, Rodriguez remained tight-lipped.

As for the other characters, a lot of them are going to find love this season. Luisa Alver (Yara Martinez) has just come back from her kidnapping by former lover Sin Rostro (Bridget Regan), and she has vowed to put her family first for a change.

But love comes from the most unexpected places, and producers just cast Elisabeth Rohm in a major recurring role to play her new suitor Eileen. According to Deadline, Eileen is “a guru who is soft-spoken, exuding tranquility.” She seems like just the kind of girl Luisa needs in her life right now.

Rogelio Dela Vega (Jaimie Camil) is searching for new love too, so he enlists the help of Darcy Factor (Justina Machado) - a professional matchmaker. “The character of Rogelio, Jaime’s character, comes to meet up with me because he’s looking for somebody and then little things happen between Jaime and I,” Machado told ET, adding that there might” be some romance blossoming between the two. “The relationship between her character and mine will be funny, as you could expect and it’s gonna be great,” Camil added.

“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 airs every Monday at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
