‘Jane The Virgin’ Star Gina Rodriguez Goes To ‘Prom’ With Brad Pitt
It’s hard not to be starstruck whenever Brad Pitt is around, and “Jane the Virgin” star Gina Rodriguez is no exception when it comes to the actor’s charms.
The two met when they guested on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” and Rodriguez was so excited about the meeting that she posted their photo on Instagram. In it, Rodriguez and Pitt looked like they were “prom” dates.

As giddy as Rodriguez was to see Pitt, the “Fury” actor still does not hold a candle to her current boyfriend, Joe Locicero. Rodriguez earlier wrote on Instagram that she considers her boyfriend far more important to her than her career will ever be. She even thanked her boyfriend for making her heart smile, and she said she could take on anything with him by her side.
As for Rodriguez’s onscreen character, Jane Gloriana Villanueva from “Jane the Virgin,” her heart is smiling again after enduring the painful loss of her husband, Michael Cordero (Brett Dier). Rodriguez felt ready to date, but she merely wanted a fling, nothing serious. When telenovela star Fabian (Francisco San Martin) came into the picture, Jane thought she found the right person. However, things got complicated when Fabian wanted a more serious relationship.
Things are probably going to get even more crazy during the third season finale when Tyler Posey’s Adam returns to Jane’s life. Is he an old suitor, a good friend, or an old crush?
Whatever the case, showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman said they are slowly building up Jane’s romantic arc. “What I want to see in the back half of the series is how she regains some of that optimism, some of that love, and starts to believe in romance again and how it’s different from what she first thought it was, so we’re going to get into that and how does Jane believe in magic again,” she explained to Entertainment Weekly.
Meanwhile, for those who are hoping that Jane would rekindle her old romance with baby daddy Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni), they would have to wait a bit longer because Rafael has fallen back in love with his ex wife, Petra (Yael Grobglas). Still, Baldoni gave fans some hope when he told Entertainment Tonight earlier that Jane and Rafael might not yet be a couple, but at least they have built a solid relationship. Even if things don’t work out romantically between them right now, there’s always a chance things can develop and they would end up back in each other’s arms.
“They’ve been through crazy, crazy things but they’ve been able to come out the other side and remain friends,” he said. “What’s great about that, for all the Jane and Rafael ‘shippers, is that if there were anything to happen in the future, is that there’s a foundation for that, whereas before, there wasn’t.”
“Jane the Virgin” Season 3 airs every Monday at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
