Jared Kushner’s net worth is close to a $1 billion. Does his marriage to Ivanka Trump have anything to do with it?

Kushner and Ivanka’s combined net worth is allegedly worth $1.1 billion. Despite working pro-bono under President Donald Trump, it was revealed that they actually made around $83 million outside the White House. Kushner may be known as Ivanka's husband but unknown to many, he actually built his name and fortune around real estate and sound investments, per Business Insider.

His family owns the Kushner Companies, a real estate firm that has handled multi-billions worth of deals in the last decade. The combined net worth of the Kushner family is $1.8 billion. A large chunk of it comes from property investments.

Moreover, he and his brother started the real estate venture called Cadre. It had a valuation of $25 million in 2017. Another venture which he invested in with his brother is the healthcare startup, Oscar. Kushner was also a former publisher of the New York Observer. It was reportedly acquired by his father and given to him as a graduation gift.

Jared Kushner left the publication in 2017 after allegations that he was meddling in its editorial process. Chief executive Joseph Meyer took over the position.

Aside from his business interests, Kushner owns different properties that are worth millions. The couple rents a house in a Washington D.C. neighbourhood which also features the Obama family and Jeff Bezos. The monthly rental costs around $15,000. Trump and Kushner also has a penthouse in Trump Park.

On the other hand, his wife Ms. Trump makes money off the books she authored such as “Women Who Work” and “The Trump Card Playing to Win in Work and Life”. She also used to own her own line of jewelry, accessories and shoes before closing it entirely in 2018.

Trump’s son-in-law is linked to controversies and conflicts of interest lately. He was accused of using his position in selling properties of his family at 666 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan to the representatives of the Qatari government, according to the New York Times. Reports also surfaced that he allegedly paid zero federal income taxes in the past years.

The 38-year-old real estate businessman has three children with Ivanka, namely Arabella Rose, Theodore James and Joseph Frederick. The family likes to spend vacation together and was seen in the picture enjoying in the Dominican Republic and having outdoor activities in the countryside.
