Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott’s Feud Stopping ‘American Pie 5’ From Happening?
Are Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott feuding? This is what actress Tara Reid hinted at in her latest interview about a possible “American Pie 5” movie.
Reid was at Global Green Pre-Oscar Gala 2019 on Wednesday when she was candidly asked by Us Weekly if there’s going to be a new “American Pie” sequel soon. Surprisingly, the 43-year-old revealed that it seems impossible to do while Biggs and Scott are not on good terms.
“Seann and Jason have to get along,” the actress said, implying that there’s bad blood between the two actors.
The “Scrubs” alum also admitted that she’s not really sure if the movie is happening because nothing was made official despite talks about doing it. However, Reid assured fans that she’s willing to reprise her role as Vicky in case the project’s been greenlit.
“There’s a lot of talk about [the fifth film], but there’s always talk about everything, so you never really know until you know,” she said, before adding that she is hopeful that it would happen.
Despite the uncertainly of “American Pie 5” happening, Reid shared that she already has an idea on what it’s going to be about based on her character’s viewpoint. She said that storyline will most likely tackle “marriages, divorces, parties, a lot of stuff in Vegas.”
Interestingly, a source said that Reid may have been misinformed because there’s no feud going on between Biggs, 40, and Scott, 42. The insider told the entertainment news magazine that “there’s absolutely no bad blood between the two” actors.
The first “American Pie” movie was released in 1999 while the last installment, “American Pie Reunion,” was released in 2012. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the franchise, so fans are hoping for a new movie to celebrate the milestone.
Last year, Thomas Ian Nichiolas revealed to the same magazine that a script for the fifth film was finished years ago but then they never heard from production again since “Reunion” came out.
According to Nicholas, he and script writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg thought that they were doing the sequel a year after because that was the plan. Unfortunately, they never heard from Universal again.
Both Biggs and Scott have yet to respond to the alleged feud.
