Jason Momoa Denies Dating Kate Beckinsale: 'Absolutely Not Together'

Jason Momoa has denied reports of dating Kate Beckinsale. Rumors linking the “Aquaman” star to Beckinsale surfaced after Momoa was spotted offering his jacket to the actress at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.

In an interview with Extra at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film “Ambulance” on Tuesday, Momoa explained he and Beckinsale had a friendly conversation after the 94^th Academy Awards. He was just “being a gentleman” when he offered his coat to Beckinsale, who felt “very cold” in her sheer gown at the time, he added.

“Everyone is like, ‘Are you dating?’ No, no, it was chivalry, the woman was cold,” he said. “It was crazy. I had a conversation with a woman about her country. I was in England doing ‘Aquaman 2,” he added.

Addressing the dating rumors, Momoa said he and Beckinsale are “absolutely not together.” “She is very nice. I was being very nice, just being a gentleman. Now I am not giving my coat to anyone,” he quipped.

Photos of Momoa and Beckinsale seemingly cozy while in a deep conversation at an Oscars afterparty spread like wildfire across the internet last week, leaving fans in a frenzy. The dating rumors emerged at a time when speculations about Momoa getting back with his ex-wife Lisa Bonet, whom he divorced in January, were rife.

Speaking to Access Hollywood from the Oscars red carpet, Momoa quashed the speculations. “We’re not back together,” he said. “We’re family. We have two beautiful children together. We’re not getting back together. We’re family forever.”

Momoa and Bonet share two children -- Lola, 14, and Nakoa-Wolf, 13. In January, the now estranged couple announced their split after five years of marriage.

“We share our family news that we are parting ways in marriage,” their joint statement read. “We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become.”
