Jason Segel And Michelle Williams Romance Update: Why He Feels More Like A Man [VIDEO]

Jason Segel is one of the most lovable men on the planet and many fans were saddened when news broke that the How I Met Your Mother star was dating Michelle Williams. In a recent interview with Extra, Segel was asked to dish on his romance with Williams to which he replied: I think I would very much like to be happy. I might even be becoming a man-man.

Though Jason Segel played it coy, he seems smitten with the Oscar nominated actress.

Segel, who famously reflected on his status as a man or a muppet for the 2011 hit The Muppets had been single for quite a few years. In 2009, he wrote the heartbreak comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall after he was dumped by his longtime girlfriend and Freaks and Geeks co-star Linda Cardellinni. After a steady rise to fame, 31-year old Segel preferred the company of his puppet collection over female affection. He told New York Magazine:

My house is packed with puppets. Like, everywhere. Thank God I have a slightly bigger house now, so I have one room that's sort of dedicated to puppets. But for a long time I lived in a one-bedroom apartment that was just crammed with puppets. It's why I'm still single.

Has the classy Williams been able to distract Segel from his vast array of puppets? It would seem so. The two have been spotted on several dates in both LA and NY and neither has denied the romance. An impeccably dressed, respected actress and an adorable funnyman? It's one of the most alluring matches Tinseltown has seen in some time! Segchelle seems like the best option for their celeb couple name.

But as there romance heats up, Williams may want to be sure Segel is disease free. It seems the actor ate a germ-filled hamburger that may have been coated with hepatitis. While promoting his new comedy The Five Year Engagement, Segel revealed that after a lengthy diet, he craved a delicious hamburger, but fate intervened and the beefy treat fell from his grip and onto the floor of the cab he was in. He elaborated: I just put it back together, picked of the hair and hepatitis and I just ate it.

Of course Jason Segel was only joking.

Michelle Williams famously dated the late Heath Ledger from 2004 to 2007. In 2005, the couple welcomed a daughter, Matilda. The two separated not long before the actor's death and in 2008 Williams began a brief romance with hipster director Spike Jonze. In the years that followed, the actress has focused on her career instead of relationships. She starred in the 2010 relationship drama Blue Valentine and flawlessly portrayed Marylin Monroe in the last year's My Week With Marylin. The role garnered Michelle Williams critical praise, a golden globe award, and a Best Actress Oscar nomination.
