Jay Z, Kim Kardashian Ignore Each Other At Restaurant: 'It Was Really Awkward,' Source Says

Any chance of friendship between the Jay Z-Beyoncé household and Kim Kardashian seems slimmer than ever, especially after the rapper reportedly ignored the curvy reality star recently. Jay Z was at a popular restaurant in Malibu, California, with friends and allegedly ignored the Kardashian clan when they entered the eatery.

An eyewitness tells The Sun, “It was really awkward. Jay Z had been quite low-key having a meal with pals. But then everybody noticed the entire Kardashian family when they came in. Jay Z was heading to leave and Kim was right in front of him. They completely blanked one another.”

Ever since Jay Z and Beyoncé skipped Kardashian’s May wedding to Kanye West in Italy, there have been reports that the couples no longer like each other. Just earlier this week, Kardashian allegedly dissed Beyoncé and Jay Z and their explosive “elevator fight.” On Monday, the 33-year-old posted a photo of herself and West kissing in an elevator, with the photo caption being simply, “#ElevatorKiss.” Many fans assumed that Kardashian was trying to mock Beyoncé and her husband.

At the Met Gala after-party in New York on May 5, Solange, Beyoncé and Jay Z got into an elevator with Beyoncé’s bodyguard, when the 27-year-old singer immediately began yelling at and kicking her brother-in-law.

In the video, Beyoncé seems to do nothing while she stands next to her husband. At one point, Beyoncé’s bodyguard has to hold Solange back. But that does not keep her from kicking Jay Z. TMZ released the black-and-white footage. It is unclear what triggered the fight, but there is no known history of Jay Z and Solange Knowles disliking one another.

If Kardashian was trying to take a jab at the superstar, it is unlikely Beyoncé will be fazed much. It seems she has moved past the incident. On her latest hit song, a “Flawless” remix with Nicki Minaj, the 32-year-old aggressively sings, "Of course sometimes s--- goes down when there's a billion dollars on an elevator” and repeats the line twice before laughing.
