Jazz Jennings, Ahmir Steward Split: Trans Teen’s Boyfriend Hints At ‘Single’ Status

After months of speculation, Jazz Jennings’ boyfriend Ahmir Steward may have just confirmed that they are no longer together. The Philadelphia native apparently hinted at his “single” status in his latest social media post.

Just recently, Ahmir reactivated his Instagram account and shortly after renamed it “He/She/They Idc.” Then last week, he dropped a bombshell when he seemingly confirmed the rumors that he and Jazz may no longer be together.

It can be noted that the rumors started to swirl even before “I Am Jazz” Season 5 wrapped up in March since many fans noticed how the two of them haven’t mentioned each other on social media. When they did in a few posts, they were not that endearing toward each other.

The split rumors intensified when the penultimate episode of the season featured a scene where Jazz confronts Ahmir about her feelings. The two also apparently agreed to have a “no commitment” relationship because Jazz was yearning to grow more and establish relationships with other people.

When the show aired its finale, fans were all the more surprised after Jazz forgot to mention Ahmir in her “thank you” post on social media for the people who supported her through her bottom surgery and the other issues she faced ahead of her 18th birthday, which was documented in the final episode.

Weeks passed and fans continued to wonder if Jazz and Ahmir were still together and if they managed to make their long-distance relationship work. Some also wondered if Ahmir is coming back for the next installment of the reality series since TLC renewed the show for Season 6.

Unfortunately, it appears Ahmir isn’t coming back now that he has dropped a major clue about their relationship status. “Although we may be single sometimes, we will be beautiful at all times. Everything is temporary,” he captioned a photo of him with a very serious expression.

On the other hand, Jazz doesn’t seem to mind Ahmir’s post. Instead of confirming or denying anything, she just claimed on Instagram that she is not done with her transformation even though she has completed her bottom surgery.

“I have emerged from my cocoon, and yet the metamorphosis is still incomplete. There is but one thing I know to be true — I am eternally becoming more and more. I am the perpetual butterfly,” she captioned photos of her lounging by the lake.
