Jazz Jennings has opened up about her gender confirmation surgery three years after going under the knife for the life-changing procedure.

The 20-year-old LGBT rights activist took to Instagram Saturday to share a selfie she took from the hospital bed on June 26, 2018, the day she had her transfeminine bottom surgery. In her caption, she recalled the time she had the “life-changing operation.”

“Three years ago to this day, June 26th 2018, I underwent a life-changing operation. This gender affirming surgery was something I had dreamt of ever since I could express myself— I remember in early childhood asking my mom when the good fairy would wave her magic wand and transform my penis into a vagina,” Jennings wrote.

The TLC star went on to thank all her fans and supporters who joined her in her journey of realizing her transition.

“It’s so incredible to see how far I have come since then. Thanks for following my story and supporting me along my journey,” she added.

Jazz’s older brother, Sander Jennings, 23, quickly took to the comments section to reminisce about the special day as well. He also expressed how proud he was of his younger sister for being an inspiration to so many people.

“I can’t believe it has already been 3 years! I will never forget how euphoric and happy you were leading up to and after the surgery. You’re such an inspiration to so many and I’m so proud of you,” Sander wrote.

Jennings’ post comes ahead of the all-new season of her and her family’s reality show, “I Am Jazz” Season 7. Though TLC has yet to announce the premiere date of the series, Jennings has been busy promoting it online.

On Sunday, she uploaded a video clip showing her entire family, as well as the producers, cameramen and crew joyfully announcing the imminent premiere of the show.

“The ‘Band’ is back together and we are as fabulous as ever!! ‘I Am Jazz’ Season 7 is coming to you soon,” Jennings wrote in the caption.

Meanwhile, Jennings recently addressed her bigger frame on the photo-sharing platform, telling her fans that she gained weight due to her binge-eating disorder. She quickly received support from her siblings, Sander and his twin Griffen, as well as their older sister Ari, 25.

“Going to help you reach your health goals by doing fun sibling sports often. We are all in this together!! Pickle Ball teammates for life,” Sander commented on Jennings’ post about their pickle ball game together.
