“I Am Jazz” star Jazz Jennings has gotten back into playing sports while attending Harvard University as a first-year college student.

The 21-year-old revealed on Instagram Wednesday that she has joined the school’s lacrosse team and even had her first game with them this week.

“Had my first lacrosse game with the Harvard club. It was so much fun,” Jazz captioned a selfie she took while still wearing her lacrosse helmet on the field. She had the school’s “H” symbol painted on her left cheek, as seen in the snap.

Jazz’s post quickly received a flurry of positive messages from her siblings and fans.

“I love this so much,” her 24-year-old brother, Griffen, wrote.

“So happy to see you getting back in sports,” Griffen’s twin, Sander, commented.

“Oh yeah!!! You go sis,” Jazz’s older sister, 26-year-old Ari, added.

“Awesome! This team is lucky to have you,” a fan stated.

“I am glad [you’re] getting involved and enjoying yourself! Go Jazz!” another user exclaimed.

In March 2021, the reality star made headlines while recalling the time she got forbidden from playing girls soccer because of her trans identity.

“When I was 8 years old, I was banned from my playing girls soccer for over two years. The ban made me feel excluded, had no merit and negatively affected me and my family,” she wrote on Twitter at the time.

Jazz brought up the issue after Montana, Mississippi and South Dakota lawmakers passed bills prohibiting young trans athletes from joining sports teams that align with their gender, as per the Los Angeles Times.

In the recently-concluded installment of her TLC show, Jazz shared her struggles after gaining 100 pounds due to her binge-eating disorder. She also documented in the series her efforts to get back to her active lifestyle.

She revealed on social media that she and her siblings had an intense game of pickleball while she was looking for ways to shed the extra pounds.

“Playing sports is one of my favorite ways of working out, and I‘m lucky to have teammates who I can play with,” she captioned a photo taken after their game.

Season 7 concluded with Jazz saying goodbye to her family because she was finally going to college. While the show wrapped up with what seemed to be a new beginning for the trans activist, it’s unclear if fans would have a chance to see her embark on a new chapter in her life.

“I Am Jazz” is still in limbo since TLC has yet to decide if the show should be renewed or canceled.

According to Jazz’s mom, Jeanette Jennings, it’s really up to her daughter if the show would move forward with another installment. However, she admitted in an interview ahead of the season finale in February that things could get difficult for Jazz since Harvard would not allow cameras on the campus.

“I can say this, that it’s really in our hands, to put it that way. It’s really what Jazz wants to do, so it could be. But if she’s like tied up with summer school or something, they can’t film up at Harvard. They’re not allowed to … have cameras up there. Without her, we wouldn’t have a show,” Jeanette said.
