Before Jeff Bezos: Lauren Sanchez Stuns As A Former Bikini Model And Beauty Contestant

New photos of Jeff Bezos’s girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez, have surfaced, showing her in a bikini as part of a Miss Hawaiian Tropic beauty contest.

The photos were obtained by the Daily Mail, revealing Sanchez as a contestant back in 1988 or 1989 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the former news anchor hails from.

According to a source for the news outlet, who was a former organizer of the competition, “Lauren was about 18 or 19-years-old at the time. She won the local competition, which is why she's standing in the middle in that photo.”

This would not be the first beauty competition that Sanchez would go on to win. She also entered the Models World Magazine Cover Girl Competition in 1990, according to the news outlet.

“Winning the cover of Models World Magazine has been the highlight of my modeling career,” Sanchez said in an interview upon winning the contest. “I have never been so excited or so inspired to stretch and grow.”

Bezos and Sanchez have gone public with their relationship after allegedly having an affair while they both were married. Bezos has since divorced wife MacKenzie while Sanchez divorced Patrick Whitesell shortly after the Amazon CEO announced his marriage split on Twitter.
