Jeff Bridges has an estimated net worth of $100 million. Here’s how he amassed his fortune.

The Oscar-winning actor's career has spanned four decades, during which he has appeared in dozens of films including “The Big Lebowski,” “Crazy Heart,” “Iron Man,” “True Grit,” and “Tron,” per Celebrity Net Worth.

Bridges grew up in a family of actors as his father, Lloyd Bridges, and brother all had movie careers. Bridges got his first taste at acting when he was cast in the 1951 film “The Company She Keeps” before turning 2 years old.

The Los Angeles native went on to star with Clint Eastwood in the film “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot” in 1971. In 2008, Bridges played antagonist Obadiah Stane in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He recently appeared in “Hell and High Water” (2016) and “Bad Times at the El Royale” (2018).

This year, he will play Dan Chase in FX on Hulu’s “The Old Man,” which marks his return to series television after 50 years. Bridges also serves as executive producer of the show.

His longevity in the business can be attributed to his variety of talents. Bridges has narrated several documentaries and is a country musician, releasing a spoken world album “Sleeping Tapes” in 2015. His musical talent also helped Bridges in his role as country singer Bad Blake in 2009's “Crazy Heart,” for which he won an Academy Award.

Jeff Bridges and Susan Geston
Actor Jeff Bridges met his wife on the set for "Rancho Deluxe" in 1975. Susan Geston was working as a maid on the ranch that was used as the set."I noticed her right away. Not only was she beautiful, she had a broken nose and two black eyes. I had this fantasy that she’d been beaten up by a boyfriend and that I was going to save her. Actually she had been in a car accident a few days earlier. I did what lots of guys do when they see a girl but don’t want her to see them: I held up a magazine, looked over the edge, and then ducked back behind it when she walked by. It took me all day to finally get up the nerve to ask her out. And she said no," Bridges told Reader's Digest in 2006.Bridges and Geston married two years later in 1977. The 70-year-old has also supported several organizations, including his own charity, No Kid Hungry, and the Amazon Conservation Team. The proceeds of his spoken word album reportedly benefited No Kid Hungry.

On the personal side, Bridges is married to Susan Geston, with whom he shares three daughters. The two used to own a 4-acre property in Montecito, California, that had a price tag of $6.8 million. They sold the property to Oprah Winfrey for $7 million in 2019.

Bridges sold a property for $16 million in 2017 as well. According to Architectural Digest, the house was bought in 1994 and features six bedrooms, six baths, a pool and two guest houses. Kenny Loggins also used to live in the property.

The veteran actor recently revealed he has been diagnosed with lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system, which is part of the body's germ-fighting network. Bridges shared on his Twitter account that he has started receiving treatments and assured fans that he will keep them posted on his recovery.

It remains to be seen if his health condition will affect the production of “The Old Man.” However, FX, Hulu and the studios behind the series, Touchstone Television and FXP, have expressed their support to Bridges following his announcement.

“Our thoughts go out to Jeff and his family during this challenging time and they have our love and support,” the statement said. “We wish him a safe and full recovery. And, as Jeff always says, ‘We are all in this together.’ Jeff, we are all in this together with you.”

Bridges received a lifetime achievement award from the Golden Globes last year. The past recipients of the Cecil B. DeMille Award were Audrey Hepburn, Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese, among others.
