Jeff Garlin Arrest: 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Star Will Not Be Charged For Smashing Car Window In A Parking Space Row

Actor and comedian Jeff Garlin will not be charged with vandalism for smashing a car window on Saturday following a dispute at a parking space, TMZ reported.

Instead, the ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ star will have to attend a hearing at the Los Angeles city attorney's office where he will be lectured about vandalism laws on how to prevent such incidents.

"We examined the facts and determined an office hearing is most appropriate in this circumstance," Frank Mateljan, spokesperson for the city attorney told Associated Press, on Monday.

The 51-year-old who plays Larry David’s friend and manager in the HBO series, ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ was arrested and jailed on Saturday with the bail set at $20,000 following a dispute with a woman driving a Mercedes in the parking lot of a CVS drugstore in Studio City.

According to reports, Garlin broke the driver's side window on the woman's car when the argument over a parking space escalated.

Garlin, who made repeated appearances on ‘Arrested Development,’ was released from jail on Sunday morning, according to TMZ.

Mateljan told the agency that although no criminal charges were filed, the woman whose car was damaged could still sue Garlin for damages in civil court.
