Jenna Lyons Divorce: Mystery Woman Identified as Courtney Crangi
The Jenna Lyons divorce story has thickened, as the mystery woman the J. Crew executive left her husband for, has been identified.
Lyons' new love interest is Courtney Crangi, a 38-year-old fashion powerhouse behind her brother's popular celebrity jewelry line, Philip Crangi, the New York Post reports.
Lyons, 43, is in the middle of a nasty divorce from Vincent Mazeau, her husband of nine years.
The couple is battling for the custody of their 5-year-old son, Beckett, as well as their brownstone apartment in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
News of the split between Lyons and Mazeau first made headlines in the summer.
After the breakup, Jenna fell in love with Courtney, whom she had been friends with for some time. They've known each other for years through the fashion business. Courtney is an attractive blonde who balances working hard with her family, a source told the Post's Page Six.
Lyons and Crangi have reportedly been spending time at romantic restaurants around the West Village and going to fashion events together, while remaining mum about their new relationship, according to the Post.
This is not the first time Lyons, J. Crew's longtime president and creative director, has been under fire and making gossip headlines.
In April, Lyons was criticized for painting her son Beckett's toenails pink in an ad for J. Crew.
Lucky for me I ended up with a boy whose favorite color is pink . . . toenail painting is way more fun in neon, the ad's caption read.
The ad sparked outrage among social conservatives, with some suggesting that the child was being turned gay or transgender, ABC News reported at the time.
It was about sweatpants and moccasins and reading the paper. And that's what we were doing: I was painting my nails and Beckett wanted his nails painted, too. I'm not surprised that he was interested in what I was doing. My God, my toes went from white to hot pink - it was very exciting, Lyons explained to New York Magazine in August.
With an annual salary of more than $5 million per year, Lyons remains one of the top fashion executives in the industry.
In operation since 1983, J. Crew has expanded to more than 300 retail locations in the U.S., including 85 factory outlets. J. Crew's sister line, Madewell, has 27 stores in the U.S. The women's only fashion line is a favorite among Hollywood actresses like Katie Holmes and Reese Witherspoon.
Reps for J. Crew, Lyons and Crangi have yet to comment on the divorce and new relationship.
