Jennie Garth, Peter Facinelli Divorce: Cheating Rumors on 'Twilight' Set ‘Completely Untrue’

One day after announcing their divorce, Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli have released another statement, this time regarding cheating rumors.

According to the website Scallywag & Vagabond, Facinelli was having a torrid affair with a woman in her late 20s, after meeting on the set of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in Vancouver, Canada.

Peter had been seeing another woman for quite some time . . . they (Jennie and Peter) tried to make it work for the sake of their children and Jennie played housewife for as long as she could but finally had enough, a source revealed to Scallywag & Vagabond (via the Daily Mail).

The website also went on to claim that Facinelli, 38, had already separated from Garth, 39, last summer.

On Wednesday, Garth and Facinelli, who were married for 11 years, issued the following joint statement about the alleged affair:

There are rumors out there which are completely untrue and hurtful to our family. We just want to make it very clear -- there are no third parties involved, according to the statement obtained by People.

The day before, Garth and Facinelli, who are parents to Luca, 14, Lola, 9 and Fiona, 5, announced their divorce -- much to the surprise of fans and gossipmongers alike. The couple was considered by many as one of the stronger and more successful marriages in Hollywood, where short relationships are the norm.

While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children. We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time, the couple said in a statement on Tuesday.

Garth, who is perhaps most famous for her role as Kelly in Beverly Hills, 90210, and Facinelli, who only recently rose to mainstream Hollywood fame thanks to his role as Carlisle in the Twilight films, first met on the set of a TV movie in 1996. They were married five years later.

Facinelli, who currently stars as Dr. Fitch Cooper on Nurse Jackie, is gearing up for the release of the fifth and final Twilight film, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, out this fall.

Garth has appeared in two TV films, Accidentally in Love and A Christmas Wedding Tail, in the last year, as well as an unpicked pilot for ABC Family, Village People.
