Jennifer Aniston Believes Brad Pitt Cheated On Her
Jennifer Aniston reflected on her relationship and divorce with Brad Pitt, saying she believes Pitt had slept with Angelina Jolie before their split and that he "lied about his relationship."
Pitt met Jolie on the sets of Mr & Mrs Smith in 2004 and there were steady reports of the chemistry between the two, despite the fact that he was married to Aniston at the time. Officially, Pitt and Jennifer ended their marriage in 2005 as good friends, or they "exited the relationship as beautifully as they had entered it" due to undisclosed reasons.
Although Brad maintained that he and Jolie were "just friends" while he was married to Aniston, just a month after Aniston filed for divorce, paparazzi photographs came to light revealing Pitt, Jolie and her son Maddox at a beach in Kenya. Aniston confessed that she was stunned and said, “The world was shocked, and I was shocked.”
In January 2006, Jolie confirmed that she was pregnant with Pitt's child, openly acknowledging their relationship for the first time. The couple have six children together, three of whom are adopted. Jennifer feels that Pitt “lied” about his romance with Jolie and the truth is “shifting like quicksand under her feet.”
"There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening, I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day. That was really uncool," TV show Friends star Jennifer aka Rachel said in an interview in 2008 about Jolie's statement on falling in love with Pitt on the sets.
Aniston also addressed why she and Pitt did not have kids: "A man divorcing would never be accused of choosing career over children. That really p***** me off. I've never in my life said I didn't want to have children, I did and I do and I will! The women that inspire me are the ones who have careers and children; why would I want to limit myself? I've always wanted to have children, and I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all."
In April, a judge declared Pitt and Jolie to be legally single by issuing a bifurcated judgment, which means that their marriage is essentially over, even though they are still finalizing their divorce settlement and custody agreement.
