Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were reportedly desperate to start a family when they were together.

Many were convinced that Aniston and Pitt were perfect for each other. She was “America’s Sweetheart” and he was the “Sexiest Man Alive.” Pitt and Aniston broke the hearts of their fans when they announced their separation in 2005.

There were rumors that they broke up because they didn’t have kids. Some even claimed that it was Aniston who didn’t want to have kids. However, the actress denied it.

“I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want to have children,” she told Vanity Fair in an interview.

When Pitt and Aniston were together, they were reportedly eager to have kids. On the popular sitcom “Friends,” Aniston had a baby named “Emma.” According to an insider, pretending to have a baby on set led Aniston to convince her then-husband Pitt that it was time for them to have a baby on their own.

“Brad and Jennifer were married and it was that experience at work which made them really desperate to start a family,” a source said.

Cali Sheldon and her twin sister Noelle shared the role as Emma. Cali shared a rare photo of Aniston holding her as a young baby and called the “Murder Mystery” star “mom” in the caption.

“Jennifer used to come home from filming and holding baby ‘Emma’ all day, feeling really broody, and she and Brad were talking about babies constantly,” the insider continued.

The source added that it was Emma who convinced Pitt and Aniston to start talking about having their own little girl and expanding their family in general. However, the couple didn’t have a chance to do so because while Aniston was reportedly preparing for pregnancy, Pitt started filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” with Angelina Jolie. Shortly after that, Pitt and Aniston announced their separation and the “Ad Astra” actor began dating Jolie.

Leslie Bennetts, who did a tell-all interview with Aniston in 2006, shared how the “Cake” star was heartbroken when she asked her about the rumors that Pitt and Jolie were expecting their first child.

According to Bennetts, Aniston’s eyes welled up and tears kept rolling down her cheeks. Aniston couldn’t utter a word, she just bit her lip and shook her head because the subject was “too excruciating to discuss.”
