Jennifer Aniston gave a heartbreakingly painful response when asked how she felt after her divorce from Brad Pitt.

The couple, who was married for only five years, decided to call it quits in 2005. Years later, Aniston admitted to Vanity Fair that it was a struggle losing the person that she loved dearly.

“There are many stages of grief. It’s sad, something coming to an end. It cracks you open, in a way – cracks you open to feeling. When you try to avoid the pain, it creates greater pain,” she said.

Aniston also stressed the fact that she’s a human being, who was having an entirely human experience for the whole world to see and judge. As such, she had no choice but to rise above the pain of her divorce.

Years after her divorce from Pitt, Aniston ended up marrying Justin Theroux. However, their relationship was also short-lived. Following her second divorce, the “Friends” star admitted that she didn’t have any regrets over her two failed marriages.

In fact, “The Morning Show” star even believes that even though her marriage to Pitt and Theroux ended in divorce, they were still very successful.

“My marriages, they’ve been very successful, in my personal opinion. And when they came to an end, it was a choice that was made because we chose to be happy, and sometimes, happiness didn’t exist within the arrangement anymore,” she told Elle.

Meanwhile, Aniston is good friends with both of her ex-husbands. She and Theroux didn’t need to wait for a long period of time before they became good friends.

Aniston and Pitt, on the other hand, needed some time to sort out their issues before they rekindled their friendship. But contrary to reports, Pitt and Aniston didn’t just start talking when the “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” star attended his ex-wife’s 50th birthday party.

In 2016, Pitt learned about the death of Aniston’s mom, Nancy Dow passed away.

A source told Us Weekly that Aniston was very touched because Pitt understood what a difficult time that was for her.
