Jennifer Aniston, Matt Leblanc Dismiss 'Friends' Movie Rumors
Jennifer Aniston, the beloved blonde starring in the movie Wanderlust, has had her share of success on the screen, but nothing has been as adored as her role as Rachel Green in the hit TV show Friends.
I loved what I did for 10 years; it was pure joy and nothing but fun, and it'd be hard to top it, Aniston said in a recent Hollywood Reporter interview. The way we sort of felt the excitement of what Friends was when it started, it would have to be something where you felt a similar charge. But I'll never ever say never.
Aniston's Friends co-star Matt Leblanc has already ruled out a reunion according to The Huffington Post.
Also Friends was about this final period in six people's lives. You know that saying the book is always better than the movie because your imagination as to what these characters have moved on to and done with their lives is gonna do more justice for the characters than for us to try and put them back in a room together, Leblanc reportedly said. It was about that 20-something age and that's how I feel. There's no plans for a movie.
Aniston basically echoed Leblanc's concern:
I can't imagine how you would do it, unless you did it years from now. Then it would be: 'Who are these guys? What are we watching?' I can't imagine what that would be. It's not normal. Friends is in your living room; Friends is not in a movie theater. It doesn't make sense to me. I think it would be going against its authentic self, she told THR.
