Jennifer Dulos Update: Red Toyota Tacoma New Vehicle Of Interest In Murder Case
The search for missing Connecticut mom, Jennifer Dulos, continues with a new focus. Investigators are now reportedly looking for a red Toyota Tacoma, following estranged husband Fortis Dulos’ girlfriend, Michelle Troconis’ polygraph test.
Troconis, who was the mistress of Fortis when he was married to Jennifer, is cooperating with investigators in the disappearance of the mother of five. Both Fortis and Troconis have been charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence in the case that has now been deemed a murder based on blood found at Jennifer’s home, the news outlet reported.
“Ms. Troconis did submit to a polygraph test while meeting with officials from the State’s Attorney’s Office, FBI, and state police,” a source told Radar Online. “During said interview, she provided minimal information that assisted us in the search. Further, the co-defendant provided an alibi that. However, it is important to note that we are not ruling any theories out at this point in the investigation.”
The FBI has also inquired about a “strong vehicle of interest, the primary vehicle of interest” at an Avon, Connecticut, car wash, which a source told teh news outlet, was the red Toyota Tacoma.
Jennifer disappeared three weeks ago, after being seen dropping her five children off at school. Investigators found blood in her garage as well as blood with Jennifer’s and Fortis’ DNA on the faucet in the kitchen of her home. Investigators have also searched the home and property of Fortis as well as a Hartford, Connecticut, landfill.
Surveillance footage allegedly showed Fortis and Troconis dumping garbage bags into over 30 different dumpsters within a four-mile radius of Hartford. The garbage bags were found to have bloody sponges, clothing, and other pieces of evidence.
Both Fortis and Troconis have posted a $500,000 bond for their release and have pleaded not guilty in the case. The couple has been ordered to wear GPS monitoring devices and must remain in Connecticut until their next court date. They have both surrendered their passports.
Fortis is due back in court on Aug. 2. Troconis will appear on July 18.
