Jennifer Garner loves to cook, and among her dinner staples is Emily Blunt's recipe.
The "Peppermint" star shared with People her dependable dishes. These are meals she loves to prepare for her family, and Emily Blunt's English Roasted Potatoes recipe is at the top of the list.
"I've made them consistently," Garner, who recently partnered up with KitchenAid to sponsor her "Pretend Cooking Show," told the outlet. "Rarely a week goes by that I'm not in [the kitchen] peeling potatoes trying to make them like Emily's. My kids love them."
The "Yes Day" actress, 49, is clearly a big fan of the recipe. "That's a definite recommend," she added.
Ben Affleck's ex-wife discovered Blunt's recipe in Ina Garten's 2020 cookbook "Modern Comfort Food." The "Girl on the Train" actress shared her recipe with the American author when she appeared on "Barefoot Contessa" in 2018. It quickly became a fan favorite. The "Barefoot Contessa" website even crashed after Garten uploaded the recipe.
The four-ingredient recipe is easy to prepare. One has to boil potatoes and drain them. The potatoes are returned to the pot and shaken for a few moments to give them a nice, subtle crunch. The full recipe can be found here.
Garner has been a long-time fan of Garten, and she enjoys following the recipes from her cookbook. She also collects cookbooks from other celebrities and chefs.
"I have a real love affair with my cookbooks," the celebrity mom of three said. "And some of them, I have double copies because whenever I go on location, I want to take it with me, but I still need it home."
Despite Garner's love for cookbooks, she has no plans to write one. She said that she only wants to "follow recipes."
"I want to follow other people's recipes and screw them up," she jokingly added. "Sometimes I really do think about 50 percent of what I make works out. It doesn't deter me. Honestly, my kids are pretty patient with me."
Garner is an enthusiastic cook, and she's not afraid to experiment in the kitchen. She's also not shy to share her fail menus. In 2018, she shared a hilarious clip from her cooking show on Instagram where her bagels did not turn out as expected and ended up in the trash bin.
"That Christmas you were so proud of the homemade bagels you baked for your family, you decided to make them again for #PretendCookingShow and...FAIL!!" Garner wrote in the caption.
