Jennifer Garner Gives Samuel A Piggyback Ride Following Ben Affleck’s Statement About Marriage, Divorce

Jennifer Garner gave her son Samuel a piggyback ride after picking him up from school.

On Monday, the “Miracles from Heaven” stars was spotted with her 7-year-old son Samuel. In the clip shared by Daily Mail, the mother and son are walking together after she picks him up from school. The boy was walking a long brick ledge when he suddenly hopped onto Garner’s back for a piggyback ride.

Garner was all smiles as she carried her only son. The celebrity mom of three looked stunning in her black sweater, blue jeans and white sneakers. She also paired her get-up with dark shades and was carrying a white paper bag. On the other hand, Samuel sported a navy blue hoodie, black pants and blue sneakers. He was also carrying his backpack.

Garner and Samuel’s sighting happened after her ex Ben Affleck opened up about their marriage and divorce. The “Batman v Superman” actor admitted that he never thought he would be divorced, implying that he never wanted to divorce Garner.

“I never thought that I was gonna get divorced,” Affleck said. “I didn’t want to get divorced. I didn’t want to be a divorced person. I really didn’t want to be a split family with my children. And it upset me because it meant I wasn’t who I thought I was. And that was so painful and so disappointing in myself.”

In an interview with The New York Times, Affleck also shared the biggest regret in his life. He recalled how his drinking problem caused more strain on his marriage with Garner and how it led to their separation as his drinking became a vicious habit.

“The biggest regret of my life is this divorce,” Affleck continued. “Shame is really toxic. There is no positive byproduct of shame. It’s just stewing in a toxic, hideous feeling of low self-worth and self-loathing.”

Meanwhile, Affleck also said in the same interview that he is still in contact with his exes including Jennifer Lopez, whom he described as the “real deal.” The “Hustler” star said following their split that Affleck was her “first big heartbreak.”
