Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have seemingly patched things up.

After engaging in a tense conversation after Thanksgiving, the couple reunited for their daughter Violet’s 14th birthday. During their outing, the “Peppermint” star received a call from one of her friends, and she was photographed smiling from ear to ear.

But during her previous outing with her ex-husband, photos of Garner and Affleck showed the two with upset looks on their faces. The “13 Going On 30” also had an irritated look on her face when she dropped her ex-husband off at his hotel in Los Angeles.

During their outing for Violet’s birthday, a source told People that Garner and Affleck bought a Christmas tree for the actress’ home, and they also decorated it together. The source revealed that the couple and their three kids went to church together, and they also watched a movie afterward.

“They spent time as a family, as they have done in the past. [They] work really hard to be united for their kids. This weekend was one example of that between picking out a tree, to movies, to just being as a family,” the source said.

The insider went on to say that Garner and Affleck are in a good place at the moment, and they both have love and respect for each other even though they are no longer together. This revelation debunks the claims that the former couple is fighting over Affleck’s recent relapse.

A source told Hollywood Life that Affleck is doing well after his relapse.

“Ben’s doing nicely and searching nice after the relapse. He’s taking his sobriety very severely,” the source said.

Even though Affleck didn’t give his fans an update regarding his sobriety, the fact that he’s spending time with his three kids and ex-wife suggests that he’s in a good place at the moment. Garner has also been very supportive of Affleck’s battle against his addiction.
